Job Summary
The Mechanical Draughtsman is responsible for preparing accurate mechanical drawings and layouts based on engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements. The role supports engineers and project teams by converting concepts and calculations into detailed drawings for fabrication, installation, and construction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software
Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings
Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations
Coordinate drawings with mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines
Revise drawings based on engineer and client comments
Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and applicable standards
Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures
Support engineers during design development and construction phases
Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions and layouts
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of drawings
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Drafting / Mechanical Engineering
