Job Summary:

COENGR is looking for a skilled

Mechanical Draftsman

to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role involves preparing accurate mechanical design drawings and documentation in compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and UAE regulations for a variety of building and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or other drafting software. Interpret engineers' designs, sketches, and specifications to produce precise technical drawings. Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and integration of designs. Prepare drawings for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems. Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and clients. Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and related project documentation. Ensure compliance with UAE codes, standards, and project-specific requirements. Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and quantity take-offs when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in the UAE. Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, detailing, and construction practices. Ability to interpret and produce accurate technical drawings from engineering inputs. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in work. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience:

Previous work experience with an engineering consultancy. Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements and UAE mechanical codes.
