Job Description

Job Summary:



The Mechanical Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing mechanical components and assemblies for Gilani Mobility's range of mobility and accessibility products. The role involves creating precise 2D and 3D models, preparing fabrication drawings, and collaborating with production teams to ensure that all designs meet functional, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop mechanical design solutions for mobility equipment, vehicle modifications, assistive devices Create 2D/3D CAD models, assembly drawings, part drawings, BOMs using software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) Collaborate with R&D, fabrication, installation, and sales teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet specifications Perform stress analysis, tolerance checks, protoyping, testing, iterations Prepare technical documentation, assembly instructions, design change requests Review and optimize designs for manufacturing, cost effectiveness, structural integrity Stay up to date with materials, standards, regulatory requirements

Ideal Qualifications / Skills:



Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related Proven experience in mechanical / product / machine design, preferably in mobility / medical / automotive sector Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.) Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerance, DFMEA Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail orientation
