Job Description

The Mechanical Designer is responsible to design, draft, and develop detailed mechanical layouts and systems--including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and specialized equipment--within the private estate. The Mechanical Designer ensures all mechanical systems are thoughtfully integrated into the architectural and interior design of the estate, supporting luxury standards, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related technical discipline. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or other 3D CAD tools (required). Certification in HVAC Design, Fire Protection Systems, or Plumbing Design (preferred). Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, BS/EN, and UAE Municipality Design Codes.

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of experience in mechanical drafting/design, preferably in residential estates, luxury villas, hospitality, or high-end interior fit-out projects in the UAE or GCC. Experience working closely with architects, interior designers, and MEP teams. Familiarity with site coordination, material specifications, and design documentation.

KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Mechanical Design & Drafting

Preparing precise mechanical drawings and layouts for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical utilities. Creating shop drawings, coordination drawings, and detailed sections for approval and construction. Performing load calculations, duct sizing, pipe routing, and layout optimization.

Technical Proficiency

Proficient in design tools: AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, SolidWorks, or similar software. Understanding of MEP coordination, clash detection, and integration with civil and architectural elements. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and electrical plans.

System Integration & Innovation

Designing solutions that enhance energy efficiency, space usage, and luxury lifestyle integration. Coordinating with teams to incorporate smart systems, renewable technologies, or custom engineering details into mechanical layouts.

Documentation & Standards

Preparing BOQs, equipment schedules, and technical specifications in alignment with project requirements. Ensuring designs meet local codes, international standards, and estate-specific guidelines. Maintaining drawing logs, revision histories, and document control for all issued designs.

Communication & Collaboration

Liaising with engineers, consultants, contractors, and in-house technical teams to resolve design issues. Participating in design meetings, on-site inspections, and coordination workshops. Providing technical support during installation and commissioning phases.

Attention to Detail & Confidentiality

Ensuring aesthetic alignment with luxury estate interiors while maintaining full functionality. Maintaining strict confidentiality in all matters concerning estate infrastructure and family privacy.
