PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Develop and maintain mechanical parts of an electronic equipment or cabinet Ensure (Quality Cost delivery) QCD management on mechanical development activities Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods and tools related to the mechanical development

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Key accountabilities: Mechanical Development Elaborate or contribute to the elaboration of mechanical specification & conceptual design, in collaboration with the HW architect and the HW designer Design the mechanical parts, considering interfaces constraints, integration of electronic and electromechanical parts, thermal constraints, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) Verify the mechanical design by analysis and simulation Select appropriate technologies considering equipment environment and manufacturing constraints Contribute to the integration of the electronic equipment Support equipment/cubicle validation (shocks and vibration tests) Release definition file of the equipment / cubicle including all manufacturing files Support Industrialization of the mechanical parts and assemblies Support the equipment over the lifetime of the product: troubleshooting, change request analysis, implementation of correction, obsolescence management Mechanical Development Management Define and follow up the QCD commitments for the whole development Contribute to the elaboration of the hardware development plan Through his / her activities, contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process ...) Remain informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch Survey methods and tools and contribute to the improvement of mechanical development productivity and efficiency Apply processes and standards Ensures reporting of its activities to the HW Architect

Performance measurements: On-Time Delivery Number of non-detected issue, detected after end of verification

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory: Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ year of experience in the domain Desirable: N/A

Experience

Mandatory: Experience of mechanical development for electronic products

Desirable: Experience in railways industry or industry with similar requirements of robustness, functional safety, long term support (aerospace, automotive, military, nuclear ...)

Competencies & Skills Mechanical Development environments (3D Authoring tools, Finite Element Modelling ...) Engineering skills related to requirement management, configuration and change management English communication skills
