Job Title
Mechanical Construction supervisor Purpose of the job
The main purpose of this position is to manage, coordinate and supervise all the contractor's mechanical construction activities throughout construction and handover to completions on time whilst maintaining quality of construction, materials and equipment, Principal Accountabilities

• Manage and supervise all mechanical construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensure works are in-line with delivery schedule, contract specifications, and company requirements.

• Report to Company Project and Construction Manager and liaise with Contractor supervisors and site construction manager.

• Liaise with support personnel such as HSE, materials, logistics and QC.

• Review and accept all Contractor construction packages, test packs and vendor manuals.

• Ensure all punch lists are closed to Company satisfaction.

• Attending equipment tests.

• Manage all interfaces between contractors, company and 3rd parties

• Support construction contractors by removing impediments to progress, assisting in the development of their construction schedule, agreeing a construction sequence (path of construction), and ensuring that contractors have the materials, engineering deliverables, tools, and resources that are required for successful execution and complete delivery within the required time frame.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment and ownership of health, safety and Environmental and ensure adherence to HSE procedures.

• Perform regular performance reviews, inspections and audits.

• Ensure construction areas housekeeping and are constructed to international quality standards

• Responsible for representing Company in all construction related meetings with contractor, vendors and subcontractors.

• Ensure that good working relations are maintained with contractor throughout project * Manage staff and 3rd party activities

• Development of local young engineers and providing development programs.

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in oil & gas construction.

• Good knowledge in mechanical construction activities including training in welding.

• Sound knowledge of welding with training

• Good English language (speaking and writing) as well as IT and standard computer applications.

• Good people skills and capacity to work in multi-cultural organizations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 8 months Ability to commute/relocate:

• Muscat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• oil and gas: 6 years (Preferred)
• gas network construction: 6 years (Preferred)
