Job Title:

MEP & ELECTRICAL Estimator.

As member of our estimation team, I contributed to a substantial improvement in job booking efficiency. I helped to achieve a notable increase in booked projects compared to the previous year.

Tender Document Review & Scope Analysis:

Analyse tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to fully understand the

scope of work

and estimation requirements.

Tender Summary & Risk Assessment:

Identify key tender conditions, risks, and deviations, recording them in the

Tender Summary Checklist

for management review.

RFI & Client Coordination:

Identify and highlight any

clarifications or missing documents

, including

project specifications, vendor lists, project program, drawings, schematics, BOQ, schedules, and contract clauses

. Submit

Requests for Information (RFI)

to the client and follow up for resolution.

Quantity Take-off & BOQ Preparation:

Conduct

detailed quantity take-offs

for

HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting

systems using

PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or other relevant estimation tools

, and validate against BOQ.

Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

Develop detailed cost estimates, ensuring alignment with project budgets, market trends,

and company profitability objectives.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

Float inquiries, obtain quotations, analyze vendor pricing, and negotiate competitive rates to optimize costs.

Value Engineering & Cost Optimization:

Identify cost-saving alternatives while maintaining compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Bid Preparation & Submission:

Lead bid compilation, including technical and commercial submissions, ensuring all required documents are prepared and formatted correctly. Coordinate with other departments to gather essential pre- qualification documents such as company trade license, insurance certificates, health and safety policies, current project list, company manpower list, and other necessary documentation.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

Guide and mentor junior estimators, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to estimation best practices.

Project Cost Reporting:

Prepare

bid review documents, cost estimation reports, and periodic project analysis

(annual/half-yearly) for management.

Market Analysis & Trend Monitoring:

Stay updated with material costs, supplier trends, and industry benchmarks to enhance estimation accuracy.

Coordination with Other Disciplines:

Work closely with electrical and civil estimation teams to ensure MEP integration and cost efficiency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED14,000.00 per month

Experience:
