Mechanical and Civil Engineer

Working Schedule:

8am-5pm, Mon-Fri

Job Overview:

The Engineer will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, and technical documentation of steel and traffic sign projects. This role requires close collaboration with the design, workshop, and site teams to ensure all drawings, materials, and installations meet project specifications and authority requirements (RTA/DMT).

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare shop drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for steel structures and traffic signs. Take site measurements and prepare material take-offs and cutting lists for fabrication. Coordinate with workshop, galvanizing/painting, and site teams to ensure timely execution and quality compliance. Inspect and verify that welding, coatings, and reflective sheeting meet required project and authority specifications (RTA/DMT). Prepare Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs); support quality inspections and documentation. Submit technical documents (drawings, material submittals, RFIs, etc.) to clients/authorities and track approvals. Resolve site technical issues and update as-built drawings as required. Assist in project costing, variations, and preparation of weekly progress reports. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project standards at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within steel fabrication, traffic signs, or infrastructure projects. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and related engineering software. Strong understanding of RTA/DMT specifications, material standards, and QA/QC processes. Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
