6 years as a technician working on marine diesel engines and gearboxes

Basic computer knowledge would be an added advantage
Language Skills:
English/Hindi preferable

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on marine diesel engines (main engines & auxiliary engines) using technical manuals
Test, repair and overhaul marine engines, hydraulic system , bow & stern thruster units.
Operates hand and power tools associated with marine engine and equipment
Propeller and tailshaft removing and refitting and replacing of seals.
Writes specifications for and recommends purchase of marine engines spares
Carry out complete overhauling of all type of engines pumps compressors, valves etc.
Processed, labeled and secured parts of equipment. Kept area work clean prior to reassemble, ensured proper torque specification. Ensure correct parts ordered through foreman
Work independently with instruction of Mechanical Foreman/group leader.
Carry out overhauling of turbochargers.
Removing, refitting hydraulic injection type couplings and propellers.
Ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with the divisions Quality Assurance procedures and Quality Manuals.
Ensure he has all necessary information to carry out the assigned duties.
Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul any type of diesel engines.
Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management including all mechanical works.
