MEA Bid Management Specialist

The MEA Bid Management Specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end bid and proposal process for strategic, regional, and country-level opportunities within the Middle East & Africa region. The role ensures the delivery of high?quality, competitive, and commercially sound proposals that align with DHL's standards, customer requirements, and regional go-to-market strategies. In this MEA Bid Management Specialist Position
Bid & Tender Management

• Manage the full lifecycle of bids, RFI/RFQ/RFP responses across MEA.
• Analyze tender documents to extract customer requirements, risks, and compliance factors.
• Develop bid plans, timelines, and stakeholder responsibilities to ensure timely submission.
• Prepare and structure compelling, customer?centric proposals that clearly communicate value propositions.

Cross?Functional Coordination

• Facilitate collaboration among internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Product, Solutions Design, Legal, IT, and Finance).
• Gather accurate operational, technical, and commercial inputs required for proposals.
• Ensure alignment with regional pricing frameworks, service capabilities, and DHL standards.

Proposal Development & Content Management

• Maintain and update the MEA bid content library, templates, and standardized materials.
• Ensure consistency of brand voice, quality, messaging, and compliance across all submissions.
• Customize proposal narratives, solution descriptions, and case studies to meet customer needs.

Commercial Governance & Compliance

• Support commercial governance by coordinating pricing inputs and ensuring adherence to approval processes.
• Identify bid risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Ensure all bids meet corporate standards, legal requirements, and data protection protocols.

Continuous Improvement

• Conduct post-bid reviews and maintain a lessons-learned database.
• Monitor bid KPIs (win rate, submission quality, turnaround time).
• Support the continuous improvement of regional bid management processes and tools.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Serve as a single point of contact for bid-related queries in the region.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and provide transparency on bid progress.
• Coordinate presentations, solution documentation, and clarifications for clients when required.

• Proposal quality scores (internal or customer feedback).
• Compliance with commercial governance and pricing frameworks.
• Stakeholder satisfaction (Sales, Solutions, Operations).
• Quality and accuracy of content library updates
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• APMP certification (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in bid management, proposal development, commercial excellence, or sales support (preferably in logistics).
• Strong understanding of logistics, transport, and supply chain solutions.
