Synopsis

The MCC Duty Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Technical Services coordinates the daily operations and liaises closely with airframe/powerplant OEMS handling technical queries to return the aircraft to service safely and efficiently. He/she provides reports on the daily operation, delays, fleet status including Structures defects, Delay/Event reports.

Accountabilities

• Issue Engineering instructions, information, inspections, and other maintenance requirements related to Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Letters and OEM recommendations via Engineering Work Instructions, Engineering Orders and Technical Notices.
• Review Structural Damage Repair Record (SDRR) and verify that damages are correctly assessed, controlled in the Maintenance Information System and terminating repairs are performed.
• Deliver Engineering support for all structural damages and repairs to Line/Light/Heavy Maintenance and Outstations.
• Deliver 365/24/7 support in responding to and endorsing EQNs (Engineering Query Notes).
• Deliver the aircraft repair record (Aircraft and Component), Aircraft Dent and Buckle Chart (ADBC) and ensure they are complete and correct to support the Aircraft ARC (Aircraft Airworthiness Certificate) renewal process.
• Liaise with OEM\xe2\x80\x99s for all Structural Repairs and defect management repair. Support the warranty department with Engineering information to support insurance or warranty claims.
• Performs the overall coordination of technical issues/problems received by phone call or radio call. Guides and supports the line maintenance staff in the daily operation to assure that the most efficient course of action is taken to provide a safe and serviceable fleet on time
• Review appropriate MEL reference and issue MEL control number to line engineers.
• Where no contracted maintenance provider is available, contact possible providers and apply for one off approvals for the aircraft certification. Keep and maintain the \xe2\x80\x9cOne off Approval\xe2\x80\x9d file and ensure that all documents for every approval are available and up to date.
• Ensures that all work performed is completed in accordance with Etihad\xe2\x80\x99s processes, procedures and is done in a safe manner to the highest possible standards.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma is required, university or Technical degree with background on Aircraft Maintenance or similar Engineering field is preferred. Qualifications required are ICAO TYPE II License or equivalent and holding at least 2 Etihad aircraft type courses.
• Experience: At least 5 years of aircraft certifying experience with at least 2 years working within a maintenance control environment with specific focus on aircraft structures/repairs. Must possess excellent communication and computer skills
