Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Mathematics Teacher for the Senior School, who will be a key member of the team and will be responsible for delivering Maths to KS3/4/5.

Position Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:


Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection). Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum. Demonstrate creativity and innovation. Deliver an active, hands-on and student-centred programme to promote learning. Maintain a safe learning environment for pupils at all times. Observe, monitor and record student progress. Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class. Be fluent in English, oral and written. Take the guidance role of a form tutor and promote student wellbeing and academic care. Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher and Head of Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

The ideal candidate will have:


A minimum of a bachelor's degree in the subject area of employment (master's degree preferred) Current teacher certification in the required subject area from a recognized institution.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience:

Previous experience of teaching KS3, IGCSE and A level mathematics within an accredited school system (preferred). Experience with G Suite.

Skills:

Ability to demonstrate a track record of continued professional development. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and colleague. Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings. Ability to work independently and to collaborate within a team. * Ability to lead an after-school activity.
