Job Description
Material & Preservation Specialist is required;
About this role
- To assist the Project Management Team and in particular the Head of Fabrication and the Head of Execution in the material control, preservation, tracking and documentation, from supplier handover up to storage, OS&D follow-up with Contractor, dispatch of material and preservation of materials and equipment in Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s premises by Contractor;
- To organize and coordinate the material and equipment follow-up and their preservation.
About this role
- Assist the project management team and in particular the Head of Fabrication, in the material (including spare parts) control, preservation, tracking and documentation, from supplier handover up to storage in Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s premises and utilization by Contractor;
Establish with Contractor a system to track and report the daily use and location of used or stored material according to nesting plans. Monitor the trend of contingencies and verifies that no shortages are foreseen; Issue a weekly material status report to the Project Management Team; Participate in pre-shipment activities from supplier and Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s receiving activities, including damages, shortages or quarantine material. Follow Overage, Shortage and Damage of materials with Contractor to ensure timely resolution;
Maintain a register of material issues and participate to their prompt resolution.

What you need to bring
- 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry for material handling, expediting and shipping;
- Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of Offshore production facilities;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT;
- Good knowledge and experience on the preservation of offshore platforms equipment and raw material;
- Application and in depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards;
- Minimum High school level or HND degree;
- Training and experience in material management and storage.
