Job Description

The Materials Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the flow of materials within an organization. They oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to meet production and customer demands. The Materials Manager must collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and optimize inventory levels. Responsibilities

Develop and implement materials management strategies to meet production and customer demands. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials. Coordinate with internal teams to forecast material needs and plan procurement accordingly. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Implement processes to optimize materials handling, storage, and distribution. Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure efficient transportation of materials. Analyze material usage and forecast future needs to prevent inventory shortages. Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization. Implement materials management software or systems to improve efficiency. Prepare reports and provide recommendations to management for materials management optimization. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Proven experience in materials management or a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of materials handling, inventory control, and procurement processes.
