Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Management Lead working within the 1.2MMBD Project Team to be responsible for the proper administration of the 1.2MMBD Agreement in all aspects of Materials Management. In this regard, this position is responsible for ensuring that all of Company\xe2\x80\x99s dealings with the EPC contractor are handled in accordance with the requirements of the Agreement as well as the ADNOC Offshore procedures..
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all Materials Management activities by the EPC contractor.

Leads EPC contractor from early stages (pre-PO placement) to establish ROS dates, expedite MR / TBE and drive PO placement.

Monitors manufacturing of all materials (equipment, bulks, etc.) and highlights potential issues (quality, delays, etc.) Spot visits to vendor shops to monitor manufacturing performance.

Monitors deliveries to the yard or site and advise the team of any delays. Influences EPC contractor to take corrective measures where necessary (e.g. air freight).

Liaise with EPC contractor expediting team to ensure all materials are delivered to yard / site on time by the ROS date.

Ensures the Preservation Plan for the project is fully implemented. Monitor EPC tracking and implementation of preservation, perform audits, inspections, etc. from vendor shop through to final system handover.

Develops tracking tools to provide management visibility of material procurement, manufacturing and delivery status.

Ensure materials management system is fully integrated with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) plan.

Highlights issues to Project Management for resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS
B Sc. in Engineering is preferred

15 years experience in materials management on major industrial projects

Physically fit to work outdoors for extended periods if required for the job

Very good knowledge of English; Arabic is an advantage

Computer literate; Strong computer skills with emphasis on data management and analysis
