Responsible for reviewing all materials-related design submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and performance requirements for roads, bridges, and infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate material specifications, test methods, and performance criteria in design submissions.
Verify proposed construction materials for suitability, durability, and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and authority requirements.
Assess the compatibility of materials with project environmental conditions and intended service life.
Review design documentation for asphalt, concrete, aggregates, steel, and other key materials to ensure quality and performance.
Ensure that proposed materials align with sustainability, maintenance, and lifecycle cost considerations.
Identify inconsistencies, deficiencies, or non-compliance in material specifications and recommend corrective actions.
Review and comment on material-related reports, technical datasheets, and compliance certificates.
Prepare detailed design review comments and maintain records for quality assurance purposes.
