As a Material Planning Officer, you will play vital role in planning and monitoring the availability and supply of all materials, spare parts and support equipment for all activities within the assigned area (Forecasting and Inventory, GSE and Cargo), of dnata Technical Services to achieve desired service and optimum stock levels.

In this role you will.
  • Supports Material Planning Specialist and work according to current material planning systems, parameters, models and processes in regard to material and spare parts forecasting, provisioning and inventory management.
  • Creates and maintains material master records in the Maintenance Management System as required and maintains Bill of Materials data for assets to facilitate easy identification of spares parts when required for the assigned area.
  • Analyses and forecasts the spare parts requirements within the assigned area (Forecasting and Inventory, GSE or Cargo), and co-ordinate with P&L and relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of spare parts in the most cost effective manner.
  • Plans and conduct quarterly reviews of all parts and adjust inventory parameters accordingly.
  • Prepares monthly forecast for all PM parts in the assigned area, to ensure parts are available for the planned PM schedule.
  • Prepares reports for Material Planning Specialist on consumption pattern and item type/class.
  • Liaises with Engineering, Planning, P&L counterpart, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/Vendors/suppliers and Workshops to resolve queries related to parts and avoid shortages and unavailability of parts.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Material Planning Assistants to ensure that work processes are implemented.
  • Reviews non-moving, obsolete, repairable and expendable items and identify surplus stock items to reduce and optimize the inventory.
  • Analyses the spare parts procured through Purchase Requisition (PR) and converts the required spare parts to inventory if required, in order to reduce the lead time and optimise cost.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field of expertise or Diploma in a relevant field of expertise with specialisation in Material Planning desirable.
  • Degree with 4-6 years of experience in Material Planning in a multinational company OR Diploma with 6-8 years of experience in Material Planning in a multinational company.
  • Proficient Data collection and analysis Skills
  • Advanced Planning and Organizing Skills
  • Proficient IT and Computer Literacy Skills
