Job Description

Effectively plan initial provisioning and replenishment of Aircraft Spares, Tools and Consumables to achieve agreed service and optimise stock levels. Manage day to day material planning operation to ensure fulfilment of dept. objectives. Support development of strategic methodology for spares planning for each type of equipment.
Job Outline:
- Identify root cause of any service level failures, i.e, Aircraft on Ground (AOG), Immediate Operational Requirements (IOR) etc. and implement corrective/preventative actions to maintain performance, productivity and delivery at the agreed service level.
- Comply with Material Planning procedures, methods and parameters applicable for different types/categories of aircraft parts. Review and analyse Gross Stock Value (GSV), stock turn, inventory per hull and highlight any adverse trends so that appropriate corrective action can be taken.
- Assist in the preparation of forward projections to support annual budget setting process.
- Support objectives of supply chain metrics including measurement and control of Aircraft On Ground (AOG), Robberies, Shortages, SLAs, Surplus, Deferred Defects, Cycle Time, Backlogs and other KPIs. Escalate critical shortages, service failures and identify corrective actions to maintain performance, productivity and delivery at the agreed level.
- Support periodic audits of inventory parameters including Re-order point, Order Quantity, Lead Time, Average Monthly Usage (ASM) etc. recommending areas to improve metrics.
- Conduct periodic reviews of slow, non-moving and higher month of coverage (MOC) repairable and expendable items of assigned vendors/commodities in order to establish contractual buyback items and seek approval for surplus stock declarations.
- Provide guidance to the material planning and inventory control team with technical evaluation of material and manage reconfiguration packages by interpreting Component Maintenance Manuals, Engineering Orders, Service Bulletins, Illustrated Parts Catalogue and associated technical publications.
- Manage day to day operation, managing and developing the performance of staff by using MyBC system/process to recognise high performance and put effective measures/development plans in place to improve poor performance.
- Engage and coordinate with stakeholders to escalate any issues and ensure the effective running of material management dept.

Engineering. Materials & Stores : 5+ Years

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) :

A level education (12 yrs schooling) may be considered with additional years of relevant experience
Knowledge/skills: Industry experience in Supply Chain is preferable (Warehouse & Logistics, Repair Management, Material Planning, Support & Inventory Control, Technical Purchasing) ideally within the aviation industry.
