Material Planner Published on 15/07/2025 Overview

The Material Planner coordinates with Maintenance Planners and other sections to ensure spares and support items demanded by maintenance are integrated into the logistics process. Responsibilities include analyzing demands to maintain inventory supporting flying hour programs, maintenance schedules, projects, and environmental conditions. The role involves managing Prescribed Load List (PLL) / Authorized Stock List (ASL), tracking spares consumption, validating stock status, and coordinating with vendors for urgent requirements. Additional responsibilities include:

Generating reports (Provisional Review, Reorder Points, NIL Stock) to aid procurement and forecasting, validating demands based on the maintenance plan. Creating part numbers, establishing levels, and linking approved interchangeable parts in the IT system, ensuring all transactions are system-conducted. Maintaining and improving service support by ensuring material availability and providing reports as needed. Monitoring aircraft and ground support equipment status to ensure parts availability for FMC aircraft and equipment. Selecting substitute items and reviewing technical documents related to part number creation. Assisting in adjusting spares and material requirements, recommending inventory changes. Coordinating with maintenance to ensure availability of TBO and scheduled maintenance parts. Planning POL product demands to optimize just-in-time arrival and reduce waste. Understanding MSDS, CMM, TB, SB, COC, COO, Calibration Certificates, and O/H Reports for incoming items. Following up with suppliers on discrepancies and documentation corrections. Ensuring ITAR compliance for import/export activities. Interacting with suppliers regarding contracts, RFQs, and delivery expediting. Maintaining communication with end users and suppliers for parts requirements. Supporting parts transfer requests efficiently. Validating requisition statuses for deferred parts during log book recons. This role is critical for operational readiness and inventory management in our aviation services. #J-18808-Ljbffr
