The Material Handling Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the organization This role ensures that materials are available when needed, inventory levels are maintained accurately, and all operations comply with safety and quality standards
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Movement & Coordination: Plan and coordinate the movement of materials according to operational needs, ensuring timely delivery and optimal material flow
Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, , warehouse & production control teams to optimize material flow and resolve any issues or delays
Process Improvement: Evaluate material handling processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Reporting: Prepare reports and analyze data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all staff
Job Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in material handling
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or logistics coordination
