Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve material submittals, test reports, and contractor proposals in line with project specifications and relevant authority requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of material deliveries and verify their compliance with approved sources and standards.
• Attend supplier and factory inspections, ensuring quality consistency and certification compliance.
• Supervise on-site material testing and liaise with accredited laboratories for validation.
• Maintain records of material test results, approval status, and supplier performance.
• Support Resident Engineer in monitoring project materials and work progress.
• Evaluate contractor's methods, test reports, and ensure timely corrective actions where non-compliance is detected.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth material approval workflow.
• Ensure full adherence to ISO 9001 quality systems and relevant Dubai Municipality and DCL (Dubai Central Laboratory) requirements.
• Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and documentation for quality audits.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in material engineering for infrastructure, water, sewerage, and pumping station projects.
• Must hold Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) approval.
• Strong understanding of authority standards (DM, DEWA, RTA) and UAE construction practices.
• In-depth knowledge of materials testing, specifications, and international standards.
• Proven ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and inspection teams.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• ISO 9000 or QA/QC certification preferred.
