We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning and Procurement:
Coordinate with project and procurement teams to prepare material requirement plans.
Create purchase requisitions and follow up with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure all materials meet the required technical specifications and quality standards for fire alarm and fire fighting systems.
Project Support:
Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.
Track material movement and usage across multiple project locations.
Support the installation team by ensuring availability of the right materials and tools on-site.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain records of deliveries, purchase orders, and invoices.
Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and civil defense regulations related to material handling and storage.
Generate regular reports on material status and inventory levels.
Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, delivery issues, or quality concerns.
Evaluate supplier performance with respect to delivery timelines and material quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the
Fire Alarm / Fire Fighting
industry.
Knowledge of NFPA standards and civil defense regulations (preferred).
Familiarity with fire safety products and their specifications.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Ability to lift and move moderately heavy materials.
