Diploma in Engineering or Technical school certification in disciplines of Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation or equivalent from a recognized university / board.
Experience & Technical Skills:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Management and Warehouse Operations in the Oil & Gas sector.
2. Experience in Material Management such as Cataloguing / classification of Engineering Materials, Technical Evaluation, Inspection of inward Materials, knowledge to read and interpret material certificates etc.
3. Well versed knowledge of Spares & consumables used in Oil & Gas industry.
4. Good knowledge and experience in SAP MM module with Computer literate and well-versed with Microsoft Office applications.
6. Good written and spoken English, problem solving skills, technical communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Experience in storage and handling of Chemicals of all the classes. Able to interpret MSDS and define storage & handling requirement. Well versed knowledge / understanding UN / NFPA / GHS Classification.
8. Capability to understand and follow international safety standard followed in Oil & Gas industry.
10. Knowledge and experience in Material Preservation standards followed in Oil & Gas industry.
Job description and responsibilities:
1. Under the general direction, Material Controllers are responsible for performing a full range of duties to manage the functions of the Material Warehouse which includes but are not limited to receiving, processing, preservation, storing and issuing of Materials / Spares related to Oil & Gas industry by following the approved Policies and Procedures.
2. Receive inbound Materials / spares, inspect the condition, check Technical Specifications against the documents and prepare Goods receipt / discrepancy report and issue of Materials / spares against request by ensuring the technical specifications are correct, packed properly in accordance with Material characteristics and prepare relevant documents such as Goods issue / shipment manifest.
3. Review and interpret certificates such as MTC, COA, COC, etc. and ensure that Materials are received with relevant certificates as per the Purchasing document. Ensure to keep the records and track the certificates for future reference.
4. Review CNRs (Complaint Notification Report) for the Materials and resolve the discrepancies by referring to the relevant drawings, technical data sheet, cross verification with installed equipment and in connection with end users & technical team in a timely manner.
5. Maintains regular Liaison with End users, inventory team, Warehouse Supervisors, Material Integrity
& Inspection team and conducts physical verification of Materials whenever required and obtains feedback on materials full description, condition and liaise with concerned team to report discrepancy if any.
6. Review Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS) and Technical Data Sheets provided to decide the Hazardous Material Classification based on UN / NFPA / GHS classification system and assign storage requirement based on the Hazard class with adequate safety measures.
7. Identify Risks and Hazards applicable in planning the storage of Hazardous material in the Warehouse as per applicable statutory requirements.
8. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
9. Conduct periodic HSE audits / checks in the warehouse and report accordingly and participate in department HSE Audits & Drills. Conduct toolbox talks and proper usage of tools & tackles and PPE. Assist warehouse supervisors for the resolution of HSE audit observations / findings.
10. Review, determine and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Warehouse to ensure the operations are in line with international standards & practices and to achieve department goals to ensure the business continuity as defined.
11. Well versed knowledge of Preservation practices followed in Oil & Gas industry and responsible to lead the preservation plan to protect the Materials in accordance with the characteristics of the Materials and the Procedures. Ensure proper Preservation plan and track records are maintained.
12. Generate and analyze the reports to identify the gaps for the improvement and report to the Management periodically.
13. Shall be able to work under minimum supervision and perform the activities in line with
International Safety standards & methods followed in the Oil & Gas industry.
14. Review and plan routine activities based on the inbound / outbound volume and appropriate space management to store the Materials in safely & secured manner and maintain good housekeeping to protect the assets.
15. Carryout visual inspection of Warehouse assets & equipment's to ensure that operations are carried in most secured manner by following safety & security measures implemented / followed.
