Material Controller - Oil & Gas Industry Roles and Responsibilities:
Controlled and monitored the movement, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, and consumables for oil & gas operations and projects.
Coordinated with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and project teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
Reviewed material requisitions and verified accuracy against project specifications, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
Maintained accurate inventory records through ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / MAXIMO) and ensured traceability of all materials.
Conducted physical verification, stock reconciliation, and regular audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
Monitored material receipts, inspected quality and quantity, and ensured proper documentation (MRN, GRN, etc.).
Controlled issuance of materials to site or production teams, ensuring compliance with material request and consumption policies.
Managed surplus, obsolete, and returned materials in coordination with project and warehouse management.
Assisted in preparing material status reports, shortage lists, and consumption tracking for management review.
Ensured materials were properly handled, labeled, and stored as per HSE and QA/QC standards.
Supported shutdown and maintenance activities by planning and mobilizing critical materials in advance.
