Synopsis

Responsible for material planning activities including but not limited to initial provisioning, reprovisioning & operational material support. Responsible for calculating stocking levels and adjusting reorder level for operating aircraft, evaluating results and ensuring accuracy of adopted planning methods, forecasting and planning spares ensuring availability for modification programs and maintenance schedules, preparation of spares package for all aircraft maintenance inputs and reviewing non-moving/slow moving spares. Recommend for consideration for inclusion/removal in/out of consignment stock holding to improve off shelf availability.

Accountabilities

• Monitor the pool providers to ensure compliance with the pool contract performance levels and to ensure the pool material is provided on time in a serviceable condition to avoid any operational delays.
• Evaluate reliability figures such as achieved MTBUR, scrap rate etc. in consultation with engineering/ planning to make recommendations to establish/adjust float level for addition/depletion in the pool provision of rotable spares required to achieve the service levels to support dispatch reliability.
• Evaluate consumption figures and lead time against fleet size and budgeted inventory plan, in coordination with maintenance planning to establish/adjust float levels of pool home base stock spares required to achieve service levels to support dispatch reliability. Release requisitions for pool material demands to meet the target process times and to minimise critical or AOG requirements.
• Work with the planning teams to achieve material availability for routine material identified on the original BOM for A and C maintenance inputs
• Ensure unserviceable and not required serviceable pool components are returned within the agreed time frame to avoid financial penalties.
• Closely coordinate with all stake holder departments like Engineering, Configuration, maintenance planning, entry into service, projects, Finance etc in evaluating the pool material requirements, carrying out analysis of pool supply impact to align with other departments objectives meeting Etihad\'s operational goals.
• Conduct analysis to offer clarification for any queries raised by suppliers, stores (Stores Discrepancy report, SDR) and/or other Engineering Sections referring to various related documents such as Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC) , Service Bulletins (SBs), Reliability reports, historical data, parts interchangeability and aircraft effectivity

Education & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years related industry experience in the field of Supply Chain or Planning related to aircraft management in an airline or an aviation company with an International business exposure and experience.
• Related Technical diploma or college degree or job specific experience in an airline or MRO (05 years).
• Good all-round planning skills.
• Knowledge of aircraft material management.
• Knowledge of airworthiness authorities requirements related to materials management.
• Ability to read, understand & interpret approved maintenance documentation e.g.; IPC,RSPL,AMM,SBs etc
• High standard of English language in written and oral.
• High standard of computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications) & presentation preparation.
