Master Planner Specialist - EMEA

Key Accountabilities

We're a community of consultants, scientists, strategists, and engineers all dedicated to solving the world's critical infrastructure, environmental, energy, and resource challenges. By seeing things from a different perspective, we enhance the Worley Group's ability to serve our clients.

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Master Planner Specialist- Industry & Infrastructure to lead and develop industrial master planning projects across the region and help develop our relationships with the local team and global master planning team of experts. You will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and will be part of our Facilities & Master Planning Team within the Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics Business Line in the EMEA Region.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop Industrial Master Planning opportunities and projects that combine the capabilities of different business lines within Worley and Advisian.

Strengthen the integration of EMEA TIL team with other disciplines leading significant industrial and infrastructure projects in the fields of Power & New Energy, Oil & Gas, Ports & Marine and others across the region.

Grow expert Infrastructure Consulting services to target government authorities, project developers and financiers around master planning, transaction advisory, feasibility studies, conceptual designs and combined management and technical advisory solutions.

Engage in Business Development interface for Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics Business Line in UAE coordinating closely with our sales team and network in UAE with other disciplines.

Contribute to EMEA TIL Business Development Strategy identifying key opportunities for the team.

Represent the industrial infrastructure disciplines (master planning and facilities, land transport, ports, industrial utilities) in Client engagements.

Have responsibility for UAE delivery calling on the regional resources. This may involve managing projects or managing project managers depending on the size and nature of the projects.

Interface with broader business development and operations teams to grow our local presence in the sector.

Develop and support proposals, developing methodologies and commercial approach in collaboration with the business development teams.

Communicate and meet clients by engaging directly in key pursuit activities to develop our growth strategy.

It is expected that the role will be 750% project work/25% business development

Job Specific Skills (knowledge, experience, capabilities, systems, programmes)

Skills/qualifications required:

Successful track record delivering industrial master plans and have recent experience in the regional market.

Have 10+ years of experience and working knowledge in Industrial Infrastructure planning and consulting, including facilities and buildings, ports, road and rail networks, dry and wet utilities together with Authority Approval Processes.

Have experience in business development and sales in ME.

Demonstrable project management skills.

Ability to travel.

Collaborative team member.

Excellent Leadership and Mentoring Skills.

Lead the use of technology in improving delivery and performance.

Good knowledge of BIM, Adobe Creative Suite and GIS systems.

Fluent English communication skills (spoken & written).

Arabic Speaking will be an added advantage.

Education (qualifications, accreditation, training)

BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, Master Planning Architecture or Similar

Chartered Status or similar preferred

Good Written and Spoken English

Minimum 10 years experience
