To accurately cut fabrics and materials according to design patterns, measurements, and customer requirements, ensuring precision, minimal wastage, and readiness for stitching and garment production.
Key Responsibilities:
Review design patterns, cutting plans, and customer measurements before starting work.
Mark and cut fabrics as per patterns, ensuring accuracy and fabric grain alignment.
Ensure proper layout to minimize material wastage.
Handle different fabric types (e.g., cotton, wool, linen, and blends) with care and precision.
Coordinate with tailors and pattern makers to confirm cutting requirements.
Check for fabric defects and ensure only quality material is used.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cutting area.
Monitor inventory of fabrics and report shortages to the supervisor.
Follow safety standards and maintain sharpness and condition of cutting tools.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cutter in a tailoring or garment production setup.
Strong knowledge of fabrics, patterns, and garment construction.
Ability to read and interpret measurement charts and design patterns.
Attention to detail and precision in cutting.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit to handle manual cutting tasks.
Preferred:
Experience in cutting Emirati wear or men's traditional garments.
Basic knowledge of pattern making or tailoring.
Candidate should be based in UAE
