Role Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for a

Master Cutter/Pattern Maker

at GlamOnYou. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment construction and expert-level cutting skills. As the Master Cutter, you will be responsible for creating accurate patterns, cutting fabrics with precision, and ensuring that each piece is prepared for seamless assembly by the tailoring team.

Take precise body measurements and translate them into custom patterns. Draft, adjust, and modify patterns according to design requirements or client specifications. Cut fabrics accurately based on approved patterns and ensure minimal material waste. Interpret sketches, tech packs, or sample garments to create cutting layouts. Supervise and guide junior cutters and tailors to maintain high-quality standards. Perform quality checks on cut fabric pieces before handing them over to tailors. Maintain tools and cutting equipment in good working condition. Collaborate with the designer, tailors, and production team to ensure garments meet design expectations and fit standards. Monitor fabric usage and report any inconsistencies or shortages. Ensure all cutting tasks are completed on time to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in cutting and tailoring, preferably in a high-end or bespoke setting. Strong expertise in pattern making In-depth knowledge of fabric types and cutting techniques. Proven ability to cut garments for women, including kaftans, western dresses, gowns, blouses, and skirts. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects. Can speak English fluently.
