Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced

Master Cutter

to lead our atelier team. This role combines manual precision cutting, pattern making with hands-on team supervision -- ensuring that all garments meet CHI-KA's high luxury standards in quality, fit, and finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop accurate cutting templates and interpret design sketches into production-ready patterns. Supervise, train, and guide both

cutters and tailors

to maintain consistency and efficiency. Conduct daily quality checks on both cut pieces and finished garments. Coordinate with design team on fittings, adjustments, and style refinements. Plan workflow and allocate tasks to ensure smooth production and on-time delivery. Optimize fabric layout and monitor fabric usage to reduce waste. Ensure all workstations maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. Support HR/Production in assessing new tailors' skills during trials or onboarding.

Requirements:

Minimum

5 years' experience

as a Master Cutter in luxury abaya couture, or high-end fashion production. Excellent knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, and fabric behavior. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a multicultural team. Skilled in handling delicate and premium fabrics (silk, chiffon, velvet, linen). Keen eye for detail, precision, and quality control. Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining luxury standards. Proficient in English & Hindi.
