The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage and body treatments to clients in a safe, comfortable, and relaxing environment. This role involves assessing clients' needs, offering appropriate massage techniques, maintaining treatment records, and promoting overall wellness and relaxation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform professional massage therapy and body treatments, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and other modalities as trained and certified.
Evaluate clients' needs and health conditions to determine appropriate massage techniques and pressure.
Maintain client confidentiality and accurate treatment records.
Educate clients on aftercare, stretching, and general wellness practices.
Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment according to health and safety standards.
Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and communication at all times.
Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
Collaborate with other wellness or healthcare professionals as needed to support client outcomes.
Qualifications:
State licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist (as required by local laws).
Graduation from an accredited massage therapy program.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion with clients.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Work Environment:
Spa, wellness center, clinic, or healthcare facility setting.
May require evening or weekend shifts depending on client scheduling.
Physical stamina to perform massages for extended periods.
