The Mason is responsible for performing a variety of masonry tasks, including bricklaying, block work, plastering, tile fixing, and concrete finishing. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings, preparing materials, and ensuring that all work is completed according to safety and quality standards in compliance with UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry units for walls, partitions, floors, and other structures.
Perform plastering, rendering, and finishing works with accuracy and proper alignment.
Prepare surfaces and mix materials such as cement, sand, and mortar to the correct consistency.
Cut and shape materials using hand and power tools.
Install tiles, marble, and decorative stone as per design requirements.
Repair, replace, and maintain damaged masonry, plaster, and tile works.
Read and follow technical drawings and specifications.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, safe, and free from debris.
Adhere to company safety standards and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Coordinate with site supervisors and other trade workers to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mason in Dubai or GCC.
Knowledge of various masonry techniques and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
Understanding of site safety practices.
Team player with good communication and time management skills.
Education:
Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
Technical or vocational training in masonry or construction is an advantage.
