Job Description

Job Title : Mason

Responsibilities:

Perform masonry works including tile fixing, block/brick laying, plastering, and waterproofing as per project requirements.

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate base materials for proper installation.

Accurately measure, cut, and lay tiles ensuring alignment, spacing, and finishing are to high standards.

Execute block work for walls, partitions, and other structural elements with precision.

Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and partitions ensuring smooth finishes.

Carry out waterproofing works on wet areas, basements, roofs, and external walls using approved materials and methods.

Mix and apply cement, mortar, adhesives, and grouts in correct proportions.

Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Ensure quality workmanship, adherence to drawings/specifications, and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Follow all safety standards and site regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in masonry (tile fixing, block work, plastering, waterproofing) in UAE/GCC construction projects.

Ability to read and understand basic drawings and work instructions.

Skilled in handling different types of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, etc.).

Knowledge of waterproofing materials, methods, and application techniques.

Physically fit and able to work in outdoor/site conditions.

Good teamwork and communication skills.
