We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our renovation and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction, with experience in various techniques and materials. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings, renovations, and restorations. The Mason will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform masonry work including bricklaying, stone setting, and concrete finishing Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans Install rebar and concrete forms for structural support Execute hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks Conduct plastering and stucco applications as needed Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, and tile laying Assist in renovation projects by restoring existing structures to meet current standards Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site Follow safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others

Requirements

Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields Proficiency in concrete forming, rebar installation, hardscape techniques, and concrete finishing Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and welding practices Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately Experience in carpentry (frame carpentry and trim carpentry) is a plus Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints effectively Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Previous construction site experience is preferred
