Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures. Attention to detail, safety, and craftsmanship is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and repair structures using bricks, blocks, concrete, and natural or artificial stones.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans.
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it on surfaces to be joined.
- Cut and shape materials to fit with hand and power tools.
- Ensure structures are level, plumb, and properly aligned.
- Apply finishing techniques such as pointing, polishing, and sealing.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with other trades and construction personnel on-site.
- Report progress and any issues to the site supervisor.
