Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, tiles, and other building materials.
Mix and apply mortar or grout.
Build or repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys, walkways, and other structures.
Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools.
Ensure structures are level, plumb, and properly aligned.
Waterproof and seal surfaces when required.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines on site.
Collaborate with other construction workers and supervisors.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a mason (block, brick, stone, or tile).
Knowledge of construction tools and materials.
Ability to work from heights or in confined spaces.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
Good attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to read construction plans is a plus.
Basic understanding of site safety and health standards.
