Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced mason to join our team. As a mason at Centerstone Interiors, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of our interior projects, focusing on tile and stone installations, cladding, and related tasks. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will contribute to creating visually appealing and durable surfaces within commercial and residential spaces. Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper substrate conditions for tile and stone installations.
• Measure and mark surfaces to plan tile and stone layouts, considering design patterns and architectural specifications.
• Cut, shape, and polish tiles and stones using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Install tiles and stones using adhesives, mortar, or grout, ensuring accurate alignment and consistent spacing.
• Perform precision cutting and fitting of tiles and stones around obstacles, edges, and corners.
• Apply grout, sealants, and other finishing materials to enhance the appearance and durability of installations.
• Collaborate with project managers and interior designers to understand design requirements and provide input on tile and stone selections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials and tools.
• Follow established safety protocols and maintain compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Coordinate and work alongside other skilled laborers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a mason, preferably in the interior design and construction industry.
• Proficiency in various tile and stone installation techniques, including cutting, shaping, and grouting.
• Knowledge of different types of tiles, stones, adhesives, and finishing materials.
• Familiarity with architectural drawings and ability to interpret design plans.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and substrate requirements.
• Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail to achieve precise and aesthetically pleasing installations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and meeting project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, project managers, and clients.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to tile and stone installations in Dubai, UAE.
