Job Description

Job Purpose:

To perform skilled masonry and painting works for maintenance and renovation tasks across buildings and facilities. The role includes executing block work, plastering, tile fixing, and wall painting, ensuring high-quality finishing and adherence to safety and building standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Masonry Work:

Perform block work, plastering, tiling, concrete repairs, and surface finishing. Repair damaged walls, ceilings, floors, and other masonry surfaces. Mix mortar or grout and apply it to surfaces using appropriate tools. Install tiles, bricks, and stones according to specifications and layout.

Painting Work:

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying fillers or primers. Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Match paint colors and finishes as per maintenance or project requirements. Repair paint defects such as peeling, blistering, and fading.

Additional Duties:

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance work as scheduled or assigned. Use proper tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area during and after tasks. Coordinate with other technicians to complete maintenance requests efficiently. Report issues, delays, and material needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school certificate or relevant vocational training in masonry and/or painting. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role in the UAE or GCC, preferably in facilities maintenance or construction. Knowledge of various masonry techniques, surface preparation, and types of paints and finishes. Ability to understand basic drawings and work instructions.
