Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in working with bricks, stones, and concrete, performing various tasks such as laying foundations, constructing walls, and installing other stone or brick structures. The Mason will be responsible for producing high-quality work, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed within specified timelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Construction & Installation:

Lay bricks, stones, and concrete in the construction of walls, floors, foundations, and other structures. This includes the precise placement of materials to ensure structural integrity.

Surface Preparation:

Prepare and level surfaces for brick, stone, or concrete laying, including mixing and applying mortar to bond materials securely.

Repairs & Restoration:

Repair or replace damaged masonry structures, ensuring the proper alignment and stability of the materials.

Tool & Equipment Operation:

Safely operate hand and power tools, such as trowels, hammers, and mixers, to cut, shape, and finish stone or brick materials.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all masonry work meets safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards. Conduct inspections and address any issues related to the structure's durability.

Safety Compliance:

Follow strict safety guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and materials. Adhere to construction site safety protocols to prevent accidents.

Site Cleanup:

Maintain a clean and organized work area by disposing of debris and storing materials and tools properly.

Collaboration:

Work with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to complete projects according to specifications.

Material Management:

Estimate the amount of material needed for each job, ensuring efficient use and minimal waste.

Client Interaction:

Communicate with clients or supervisors regarding project progress, timelines, and any potential changes.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Skilled in laying bricks, stones, and concrete, with a focus on precision and quality. Good physical condition and stamina, able to work in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 plus years of UAE Experience (Required) Certification or training in masonry or a related field. Knowledge of specialized masonry techniques, such as stone carving or tile setting. First aid and safety certifications.

Work Conditions:

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Some overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
