The Role

Taptap Send is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our FX & Treasury team to help us grow our global currencies sourcing and execution capabilities.

In this role you will report to the Head of FX & Treasury, and will be responsible for liquidity sourcing and trading of selected EM currencies. By building deep market understanding and relationships with in-country liquidity providers and stakeholders, you will help deliver market leading exchange rates for our customers.

You\'ll work as part of the FX & Treasury business, with close collaboration with the wider in-country teams (London, Abidjan, Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, Kampala and New York to name a few), ensuring Taptap Send continues to exceed growth and customer expectations! There is plenty of room for professional progression and personal development within our friendly and ever growing Taptap community.

Responsibilities:

• Owning the funding & trading of a basket of Taptap Send\'s emerging market currencies, with the aim of getting the best price for our customers, whilst optimizing funding flows.
• By going deep within your markets you will build a fundamental understanding of the structural dynamics of the local FX liquidity and macro factors, allowing you to optimize Taptap\'s FX sourcing within the local context.
• As part of the role you will be expected to travel to meet local stakeholders and liquidity providers.
• You will work alongside our in-country teams to source market leading FX liquidity providers
• Managing capital intensity, counterparty credit limits and funding optimisation will also play a key part in measuring the success of this role.

Good fit if you:

• Have at least 3 years of experience as an FX trader / treasury dealer
• Are passionate about our mission and eager to do what needs to be done to achieve it
• Are enthusiastic about emerging market FX and solving the unique problems associated with it
• Excited to work across global teams and have the curiosity to build deep local expertise
• Enjoy challenges, are resourceful and think outside the box to find creative ways to tackle problems
• Love working in teams and building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders
• Have great organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced start-up environment where no two days are the same
• Have proven analytical skills (Excel); SQL a plus
• Are familiar with the partner countries we work with -Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Madagascar, Nepal, soon India
• Have the right to work in your residency location
• Ideally Dubai based, but open to other locations
