Our Abu Dhabi based events services client is looking for a Marketing Manager , responsible for overseeing, managing and undertaking the Marketing aspects of specific shows. This role is responsible for establishing overall marketing and public relations strategies, programs and policies with a view to establishing and delivering future growth and designing marketing material.
Responsibilities
Marketing Campaign Planning and Execution
Develop and execute the marketing plan for the agreed events:
Deliver visitor attendance at the show in line with targets set each year.
Generate leads for the sales team in line with targets set each year.
Conduct research, analyse feedback, and develop strategy and actions to improve the event results year on year.
Allocate and monitor marketing budget across multiple channels to ensure that marketing plans are delivered in budget and delivers against the ROI targets of the business.
Write statement of works for suppliers, and manage supplier relationships.
Conduct regular performance monitoring of all elements of the marketing campaign to ensure optimisation of the campaign.
Draft marketing copy for all marketing materials required for the execution of the marketing campaign including email campaigns, adverts, website, press packs and all other materials.
Write creative briefs for all design agencies including design, video and photography
Build and maintain an industry leading database to support exhibitor enquiries and visitor attendance.
Write agency briefs for social media and digital agencies, and work with the agencies to optimise results
Negotiate all third party marketing channels, including but not limited to contra deals with trade press, associations, as well as paid advertising opportunities across multiple platforms.
Create and implement strategy for driving pre-registration conversion
Work with the PR agency to deliver world-class coverage pre-event, during the event, and post event.
Work with strategic partners to drive attendance to the events
Plan and execute a content marketing plan for the event
Work with exhibitors and sponsors to deliver exhibitor marketing support, the exhibitor manual and logins to the exhibitor portal.
Conduct post event analysis and collate feedback through surveying attendees.
Work with the Registration Manager to ensure efficient pre-registration process
Work with marketing executive to ensure effective delivery of marketing campaigns
Performance Monitoring:
Manage the marketing activities for specific shows ensuring the implementation of the marketing action plan on a day to day basis
Implement a reporting system to monitor all marketing activities
Ensure the maintenance of an online and hard copy archive of marketing materials and communications
Conduct market research, analyse feedback and develop strategy and actions to improve defined shows year on year
Ensure all visitor enquires are registered and addressed in a timely manner
Ensure the web content management system is updated and managed with defined show website content in English and/or Arabic
Create the communication/ e-mail newsletters being sent out for the visitor e-marketing campaign and monitor communications response data and other performance and marketing metrics.
Lead the design and production of defined marketing collateral including ticketing, press packs, advertisements, booklets and other aspects of the event marketing mix
Ensure external agencies and contractors are delivering quality work and within the assigned deadlines and budgets
Lead and support the PR campaign as required to execute pre-show newspaper advertising campaigns
Relationship Management/ PR :
Plan visits strategically to similar industry exhibitions/ events
Provide regular reports and feedback
Manage the PR for shows
Liaise and negotiate with trade publications to secure contract deals and execute all required marketing activity
People Management:
Support knowledge transfer of Marketing to the wider team
Manage the Marketing activity during the build, open and breakdown of specified shows
Provide consistent direction and support to achieve targets and build a high performance team
Identify training needs within the team as and when required
Enhance team productivity through skills development through coaching and training
Ensure objective and periodic administration of the performance appraisal process followed by monitoring of feedback implementation for the team
Self-Development:
Strive to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role
Identify the training and development requirements for self and agree on them with line manager to ensure training is arranged
Set personal performance objectives at the start of the year in discussion with line manager and achieve them over the following year
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business Management / Masters in Business Administration with a specialisation in Marketing
Certification course in Mass Communication/ Advertising/ Marketing
3-5 years of experience in a Marketing role in an organisation of similar scope and size
Arabic Speaking
Advanced knowledge of Marketing Strategies
Leadership skills
Excellent relationship management
Advanced knowledge of EBMS
Knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
