We are seeking a technology-oriented yet creative, marketing executive with the ability to develop, monitor and optimize outbound campaigns and product websites for large scale exhibitions within the Informa Connect division. The individual will be digitally savvy, analytical and data oriented with a history of continuous improvement and learning from past campaign performance. The individual will be an imaginative copy writer with the ability to produce effective marketing collateral (email marketing, brochures, direct mail) and long copy pieces including blogs, press releases etc. He/she will be adept at translating this into other formats including social media posts, infographics, video storyboards and website content. The candidate must have exceptional attention to detail. Experience of marketing technologies (email marketing and CMS systems) is a must and automation experience is desirable. The candidate will be an excellent communicator who works well as part of a marketing team, the event team and stakeholders outside the organisation
Campaign Management and Execution
Work with marketing manager to deliver outbound marketing campaigns and event websites in line with strategic objectives
Evaluate the performance of media, association, industry partners, and social media influencers and provide feedback/recommendations to marketing manager
Build, maintain and optimize websites and work with internal support teams to make advancements maximizes conversion from the sites
Copywriting input and checking/proofing of all Arabic and English marketing materials in conjunction with relevant Marketing Manager
In collaboration with the marketing manager, develop Content Calendar through designated channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, direct mail etc) to engage and convert relevant audience
Work in conjunction with Marketing Manager to ensure all social media channels are active in line with market expectations, monitor engagement and maximize conversion
Report on social media engagement and suggest improvements where necessary
Manage the photographer and videographer onsite
Collect customer insight onsite such as exhibitor and visitor testimonials
Become part of a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the team
Marketing Management Support
Assist in the delivery of all planned campaigns
Create tracking links and maintain tracking master files per show
Assist in testing and monitoring active marketing programs with developing ways to improve those campaigns
Proofread all marketing materials in conjunction with Marketing & Exhibition Managers to ensure accuracy
Support with digital marketing campaigns
Analysis and Insight
As directed by the marketing manager, monitor campaign performance and produce relevant and timely reports
Share relevant insights with marketing manager to drive revenues or pursue new opportunities
Analyse and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns
Work with data & insights specialists to capture relevant and timely data (onsite & post show surveys, registration forms, industry research etc)
Work with internal teams to ensure data governance and data management policies are adhered to
Media Partners
Researching new external media for use on shows and updating media files accordingly
Assisting with the setting up of media deals with external organizations to ensure maximum exposure at the lowest cost to show budget
Coordinate requirements with Media Partners ensuring adherence to timelines and plans
Update and manage the media partner log ensuring media partner marketing deliverables are actioned and in a timely manner
Marketing Innovation
Monitor and share new trends and techniques in both consumer and B2B marketing
Introduce new channels/techniques as appropriate for the industry/campaign and work with the performance marketing executive to monitor performance
Administerial Task Management
Liaise with external suppliers and assist in the coordination of design and production of marketing collateral including sales brochures, visitor tickets, print advertisements, web banners/emails etc.
Drop in copy to new websites and update the website with new content and images, given by the marketing manager, including the creation of campaign trackers
Act as point of contact with the operations department for issues such as travel agency, media racks, etc.
Carry out Administerial tasks such as creating PO\'s, filing of documents, setting up emails.
Carry out other administrative and other duties as required by show team
Provide reporting information as required by show team
On-site support at shows involving ad-hoc work as required, this can involve extra hours
Perform any other duties that are commensurate with the grade and areas of responsibility
Qualifications
Minimum Education Level
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Great communication skills both verbal and in writing in English (must) and Arabic (ideal).

Thorough understanding & experience of digital (PPC, SEO, online advertising) and direct marketing.
Database development and growth including segmentation / advanced targeting.

Experience of working in a pressurised environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate/advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
Desirable
Experience of using marketing automation technology (preferably Adestra).
Experience of managing social media through scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social or Hootesuite etc. And experience of social media listening and sentiment analysis.
