About the Role
Are you passionate about marine life and love engaging with people? Join our team at The Lost World Aquarium, where you will play a key role in delivering impactful conservation education to our guests. In this exciting position, you will use your enthusiasm, professionalism, and engaging personality to share knowledge about aquatic species, conservation actions, and the unique theming of our aquarium. You'll deliver both informal and formal conservation education programs, using a variety of interpretation methods to ensure every guest leaves inspired and informed. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Interacts and engages with guests in an engaging, enthusiastic and professional manner, sharing information about marine life and aquarium theming.
• Maintains basic knowledge of marine animal species, aquarium systems, animal care, conservation threats and actions.
• Delivers formal and informal conservation education programming and marine animal activities upon the operation's needs, to small or large groups.
• Actively approaches and interacts with guests within the Aquarium.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for guests, and abides by correct animal welfare practices.
• Utilises learning resources to learn and apply detailed knowledge of marine life and aquarium theming.
• Accepts constructive feedback on frequent trainings and assessments.
• Conducts research to assimilate and deliver presentations to enhance product knowledge and presentation skills.
• Facilitates guest surveys and gathers feedback to ensure guests leave aquarium and experience having made a positive impact about saving our oceans.
• Maintains personal and professional development.
• Keeps current with the Company's facilities, events, and related services.
• Complies to all information contained in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and department manuals.
• Delivers service standards that exceeds department targets for Quality assurance guest surveys.
• Attends meetings and trainings as requested.
• Performs other reasonable duties throughout the division as requested by management.

About You
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an engaging personality and strong communication skills, ideally suited for roles involving public speaking and guest service. Candidates should be outgoing, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a positive, self-motivated attitude. The ability to quickly learn and retain information particularly related to marine life and conservation is essential. A background in hospitality, biology, or education (degree, certificate, or equivalent) is desirable. Basic computer skills are required, along with proficiency in English, including the ability to speak clearly, read, and write effectively.
