Job description Overview: The chartering & Operations executive is responsible to handle Pre & Pro-chartering matters (disputes, statement of account/owners matters etc). To be able to liaise with inter department such as operational, technical, and financial matters Chartering Role: Responsible for all aspects of vessel chartering activities, ensure profitable employment of managed/operated vessels, time charter-in tonnage. Calculate voyage estimates and assist with budgeting and preparation of commercial tenders. Monitor market conditions and rates for the industry through all appropriate means. Develop and implement marketing and chartering strategies to provide integrated services that meet clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements and provide sustainable income/growth for the company. To assist with securing business with existing clients in current market as well as bringing in new accounts To identify new chartering accounts or opportunities and evaluate potential returns of these possibilities To ensure submission of proposals/tenders to clients in a timely and accurate manner Any other tasks assigned by direct manager and/or management Operations Role: To provide the day-to-day support required by the Commercial/Chartering Department in areas such as tender preparation, liaison with shipbrokers and coordination with other departments as necessary in order to maintain a diverse fleet of vessels and assist in ensuring that all operational requirements and deadlines are met. Co-ordinate with agency and operations on all aspects of joint projects and initiate any enhancements that will enhance customers\xe2\x80\x99 satisfaction. Utilization of ERP System to keep track of records. Conduct background checks on charters and/or owners to ensure conformity with company standards. Coordinate with the port agents for registering the vessel Keeping the agent and the client with the updated ETA Upon vessel arrival coordinate with the master to tender the NOR (Notice of readiness) Monitoring the loading status by coordinating via agent. Upon loading completion coordinating with the agent to get the sailing documents Sending the sailing instruction to the master of the vessel. Sending the pre-arrival documents to the discharge port agent Gather the SOF from the master and agent Maintain the demurrage sheet and updating to the client in weekly basis to get their confirmation. Prepare regular and periodic reports/reviews. Other duties as assigned by the position\xe2\x80\x99s line manager and/or the company\xe2\x80\x99s management Requirements Requirements: Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies / Commerce / Economics or equivalent is preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences preferably in Offshore Marine Industry. Meticulous, pro-active with positive attitude and willing to learn.
