Job Summary

The Marble Installation Supervisor oversees and coordinates all activities related to the installation of marble, granite, porcelain and other stone materials at project sites. This role ensures work is executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines. The supervisor leads installation crews, monitors progress, and communicates with project management and clients as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination

Supervise daily marble installation activities, ensuring proper layout, cutting, fitting, and finishing. Assign tasks to installation teams and monitor workforce productivity. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow. Review project drawings, material lists, and specifications before execution.

Quality Control

Inspect materials delivered to site for quality, accuracy, and damage. Ensure installations meet aesthetic expectations, dimensional accuracy, and industry standards. Conduct regular site inspections to identify defects and oversee corrective actions. Approve completed work prior to client or consultant inspection.

Technical & Operational Tasks

Interpret and enforce installation methods, including substrate preparation, leveling, fixing, grouting, and polishing. Ensure proper handling, cutting, and storage of marble and stone materials. Troubleshoot technical issues related to installation challenges or site conditions. Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure proper usage by team members.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce site safety protocols and ensure all workers follow PPE and installation safety requirements. Ensure compliance with project, company, and regulatory standards. Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks when necessary.

Material & Documentation

Coordinate material requests and inventory with procurement or site warehouse teams. Maintain daily progress reports, installation logs, and documentation for inspections or handovers. Report delays, issues, or risks to project management.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

Diploma or technical certificate in Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). 3-8 years of experience in marble, stone, or tile installation supervision. Strong knowledge of natural stone materials, installation techniques, tools, and finishing methods.
