Job Description

SALARY: AED 2,200

Job Purpose:

This role involves a range of responsibilities related to support kitchen staff, food preparation, kitchen organization, and collaboration with the culinary team.

Food Preparation:

- Assist cooks and chefs in preparing ingredients for cooking.

- Wash, peel, chop, and dice vegetables, fruits, and other food items.

- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately.

Kitchen Organization:

- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized.

- Assist in maintaining proper storage of food items and supplies.

- Restock ingredients and notify superiors when supplies are running low.

Assisting Cooks and Chefs:

- Follow instructions from cooks and chefs to ensure proper food preparation.

- Support the cooking process by fetching and carrying ingredients, utensils, and equipment.

Adherence to Standard:

- Follow the restaurant's recipes, portion control guidelines, and cooking procedures consistently.

Food Handling and Safety:

- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

- Ensure that all food items are stored and handled according to safety regulations.

- Report any issues or concerns related to food safety to superiors.

Dishwashing & Cleaning:

- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using appropriate cleaning methods.

- Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces regularly.

- Dispose of waste and maintain a tidy work area.

Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with the chef, cook, and other kitchen staff to coordinate and streamline food production.

- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

- Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
