Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services related to mergers and acquisitions
  • Assists clients with their implementation of specific international tax requirements
  • Planning, researching and preparing materials for Tax consulting projects,
  • Manage and supervise complex tax computation projects for clients within various sector
  • Providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team
  • Work as part of a team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services and communicates findings and opportunities to clients
  • Coordinate with other KPMG offices in multi-jurisdictional engagements and review inputs from such offices.
  • Establish relationships with clients, colleagues from other functions and network offices, as well as members of the relevant external contact network
  • Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of risk management practices and processes
  • Identify team member development needs of less experienced colleagues on projects, with particular emphasis on coaching and skills transfer
  • Managed a team of Tax professionals, including acting as a performance manager and on-the-job coach for junior grades
  • Assist with business growth by identifying International Tax / M&A opportunities and maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Show genuine interest and desire to understand clients, market features and technical aspects while providing input into designing/implementing solutions alongside senior colleagues
  • Actively develop, mentor and coach team members by demonstrating appropriate behavior and delegating where appropriate
  • Enhance KPMG's reputation in the market by delivering high-quality engagement work and project management, showing high attention to detail, and always managing risk
  • Set up procedures to monitor work progress, quality, and cost against budget while consulting widely on engagements and other matters
  • Create a visible presence within KPMG and the external market, increasing interactivity across teams and with clients
What you will need to succeed
  • At least 6 years of experience in international corporate tax consulting / M&A Tax, tax due diligence and deal structuring.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields with strong academic background
  • Certification in ADIT/Accounting, ACA, CPA, ACCA, Masters in Taxation or Legal qualification or similar professional qualification is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in International tax, including international holding structures, tax treaty network, fund structuring, tax policy and tax risk management
  • Basic knowledge of tax accounting, transfer pricing and global mobility-related tax principles, business development, client relationship and client management
  • Analytical, critical thinking; excellent in written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numerical, analytical; strategic thinking and project management skills
  • Ability to work on a range of projects simultaneously to demanding timetables
  • Personal drive and integrity to deliver results within tight deadlines
  • Commitment to high quality standards and a detail-oriented approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Arabic language skill is a plus
  • Able to build and develop strong relationships with clients and multipliers in the market
