Landmark group is building a large automated distribution centre in Dubai (Mega DC). This project is a strategic project for the group. The Mega DC project in JAFZA (Jebel Ali Free Zone) will play a central role in LMG supply chain and will be the main distribution hub for the GCC excluding KSA.

Roles and responsibilities

Manage and stable running site (in cooperation resident team)
Report machine failures and suggest improvements during running operations to senior management
Oversee and sign off on the preventive planned maintenance regime (on general schedule)
Check works are carried out to the above plan in a professional safe way\xcd\xbe Liaise with contractor in movements of maintenance, to introduce a philosophy of Continuous Improvement.
Prepare and update method statements, risk assessments, maintenance frequencies, tooling plans, engineering bulletins, thermo graphic surveys, RCM plans and Fault Mode Effect Analysis.
Discuss with leadership on regular level regarding system improvements and failures, maintenances, and breakdowns.
Budget control within the parameters of agreed maintenance budget contract.
Lead small projects and costs as additional to maintenance contract
Contractor management
Extending asset life
Maintaining and improving facilities
Maintaining and improving service quality
Continuous improvement initiatives
Data capture, record and reporting
Oversee purchase of maintenance materials and supplies with the contractor
Optimize spare part stock levels to minimize down time and capital investment
Float periodic maintenance tender and work with finance team in selection of contractors

Additional responsibilities

Monitor staff discipline, holidays, sickness, overtime (for Landmark staff)
Health and Safety representative within the Distribution Centre - Ensuring safety of personnel KPI setting and review of staff
Oversee varying maintenance to operational requirements with the contractor Spares/stores control
Planning transition to in house maintenance in the long run.
Inhouse training and Coaching

QUALIFICATION

Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training

Four (4) year degree in engineering Electrical / Mechanical

Advanced

Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training

Quality Management certification TPM, TQM or similar.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Experience

10 years+

Specific / Relevant Experience

Must have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC (Siemens S7), Pneumatic/Hydraulics, automation
WMS and WCS; material flow
Experience in Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems Cranes and shuttles Systems, garment on hanger systems and other associated Material Handling Equipment MHE systems\xcd\xbe Goods lifts, Elevators, destackers, Palletisers etc.
Experience with Maintenance scheduling / planning software
Preventive maintenance & total cost of operation
LEAN or 6 sigma would be an asset
Management of maintenance team in a 3-shift environment
SCADA system
