Job Description

Following the introduction of Corporate Tax Law in the UAE, there is a need to recruit an experienced and qualified Manager to be part of a growing team that is assisting clients in developing various Transfer Pricing solutions.

This is an exciting time to be at the for-front of Transfer Pricing in the UAE and since this is a debut event, there are plenty of opportunities to showcase Transfer Pricing skills.

We are looking for an experienced individual with Transfer Pricing and International tax experience. This role would have particular focus on planning and structuring opportunities for our clients together with a strong knowledge of Transfer Pricing concepts across diverse industries, CbC reporting etc.

You will work closely with the Transfer Pricing Tax team and IT specialists to aid on both client work and in the management of the new portfolio of International tax clients across the practice. The position will be based in Grant Thornton\'s (GT) Dubai office.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax and transfer pricing projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax and transfer pricing planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and manage to budget
  • To act as a key point of contact within the firm for Transfer Pricing. This will involve responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided, and maintaining regular contact with clients.
  • Raising Transfer Pricing capability profile of tax team internally and externally, including knowledge sharing
  • Develop a project vision and set challenging personal and client service team goals
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax and Transfer Pricing projects and assess performance for engagement
  • and year-end reviews
  • Work with tax leaders and transfer pricing specialists to analyze and resolve international tax and finance issues and consult with clients on a wide range of tax and transfer pricing issues
  • Incorporate financial information into a proprietary financial model and conducting economic, financial, and accounting analyses.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively
Candidate Specification/Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelors\' degree in finance or accounting with specialization in tax
  • Professional qualification (ADIT, CPA or ACCA) is preferred
  • At least 5+ years of international tax exposure and experience in either a government revenue body or top 10 public accounting firm
  • Should be a team leader who can manage a varied and large portfolio of both existing and new clients
  • Should have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution focused and results orientated
  • Should have a strong personality and excellent presentation skills
  • Should be proactive with staff and clients and be able to work under pressure to meet client expectations and deadlines with ability to multi-task
  • Should be able to cross sell the services of the Firm
