Develop and guide the implementation of Project Controls Procedures, Master and Control Schedules, and Reporting Systems specific to project
Assess Project Controls staffing requirements for all phases of project, and coordinate with Department for timely mobilization / demobilization of resources
Develop progress measurement system and monitor progress of work for timely execution of the project
Develop project Dashboards to communicate Cost and Schedule performance to the project teams in real time. Implement a standardized suite of Schedule and Cost reports that enable PMT / Senior management to make data driven decisions.
Perform Trend analysis and actively evaluate Project Schedule and Cost Performance to identify areas of action and/or potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and timely communicate with key stakeholders
Implement Change Management practices and appropriately capture associated cost and schedule activities.
Work with key stakeholders to identify Project Risks, and lead the Cost and Schedule contingency management process
Perform any other work as needed in support of successful project delivery
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in EPC project execution covering Planning and Scheduling, Cost management, Change management
Ability to lead Project Controls efforts within an operational area of the Business to meet Organizational objectives
Comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure and project Coding structures including CBS
Knowledge and implementation of Risk Management processes
Understanding of Advance Work Packaging and Workface Planning in Construction Management. Experience in championing AWP implementation in EPC execution is desirable
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
Working knowledge of Project Controls Software systems and packages including Primavera P6, Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis tools
Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
A minimum of 20 years’ experience in Mining and Minerals, Oil & Gas, Power Plant, or other Energy industry portfolio out of which 8-10 years should be in Project Controls Manager or similar role
