Aldar Training Academy is currently seeking a Manager - Secondary to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. This role is based in Aldar Education HQ within the Aldar Training Academy team.

To embody the values, vision and ethos of Aldar Education (AE) and to assist the Aldar Training Academy team in delivering policies which will ensure high quality and successful outcomes for all student achievement programmes.


To coordinate and successfully implement the Academy of Excellence (AOE) programme each year in achieving its key aims and objectives for individual schools within the Aldar Education (AE) network through developing a high-quality programme which effectively promotes and celebrates the gifts and talents of students across these schools.


The Manager - Secondary Education will play a pivotal role in the creation, development, and delivery of high-quality CPD (Continuous Professional Development) programmes aimed at enhancing secondary education across Aldar Education's network of schools. The role requires collaboration with diverse school-based and HQ teams to drive school improvement, assist in inspection readiness, and support tailored training and development for both staff and leadership teams. The Manager will ensure alignment with Aldar Education's values and objectives while driving excellence in teaching, learning, and overall school performance



Minimum Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree (BSc or BA). Teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE/BA in Education)

Minimum Experience:



At least 2 years of experience in a Middle or Senior Leader role within a school setting or the education sector. Experience in a senior leadership position or leading through-school initiatives. Experience leading or teaching a core subject such as Maths or Science. Previous experience in inclusion or pastoral support and care. Experience leading on innovative technologies and their roll-out across schools. A strong social media presence, particularly in leading CPD events such as webinars, conferences, CPD networks, and committees.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:



Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral. Attention to detail with diligent follow-up and the ability to execute tasks in a timely manner. Skilled in multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and handling pressure. Strong organisational skills, both personal and for managing others. A collaborative team player. Creativity and strong presentation skills. Forethought and effective forward planning. Capable of influencing people and networking with cultural sensitivity.

Main Duties:

CPD Development & Delivery



Develop and deliver high-quality secondary and pedagogy CPD programmes for Aldar Education and external clients. Provide expert advice, guidance, and support on secondary educational matters to staff across the network. Ensure all training programmes align with company objectives, improving teaching practices and learning outcomes.

School Improvement & Support



Lead initiatives to identify schools' strengths and areas for development, particularly within secondary education. Conduct school inspection readiness visits and provide feedback for continuous school improvement. Work with school teams and leadership to ensure high pedagogical standards and a dynamic, innovative learning environment.

Collaboration and Networking



Work closely with ATA (Aldar Training Academy) teams and school leaders to tailor training and support for secondary education. Establish/ Contribute to professional networks to share best practices, ensuring consistency and excellence in secondary education / specialism areas across the network.

Leadership and Professional Development



Be a role model for professionalism, fostering high expectations for staff and students. Identify professional development needs for those you manage/support and provide relevant CPD opportunities. Lead the development of internal and external professional development programmes, enhancing Aldar Education's reputation in Abu Dhabi and beyond.

Continuous Improvement & Research



Stay up-to-date with the latest secondary educational research and strategies, ensuring best practices are incorporated into the training programmes we offer. Research innovative approaches to secondary education and integrate these into training and school improvement processes. Be a strong advocate for your own professional growth by actively seeking CPD opportunities aligned with your core responsibilities.

Specific Duties:

CPD Development & Delivery



Conduct, collaborate or source training on secondary educational matters including curriculum, teaching strategies, counselling, and wellbeing. Create and deliver online training/webinars and distance learning solutions for Aldar Education and external partners. Create engaging and impactful social media content that informs, supports, and inspires educational excellence across our schools and wider audience.

School Improvement & Support



Participate in school reviews and support the identification of best practices for secondary provision across schools. Support the development of a strong support system across the Aldar school network to implement secondary education improvements.

Collaboration and Networking



Support the ATA team in creating and reviewing high-quality review systems that monitors secondary education standards.

Leadership and Professional Development



Collaborate with senior management to prepare and support bid documentation for new educational projects.
